Tish Washington, LCPC

Tish is an LCPC in the state of Maryland with over 10 years of experience in the provision of mental health and substance abuse services in Harford County, Baltimore County, and Baltimore City. Though Baltimore County became her home almost 20 years ago, she was born and raised in Harford County, MD alongside a huge close-knit family with dozens of aunts and uncles and well over 100 cousins. This unique experience has driven her compassion and empathy for others.

Originally a self-proclaimed major surfer due to her interest in an array of subjects, Tish found her passion in the world of Psychology. As a non-traditional student, Tish completed her Bachelor’s of Psychology at Morgan State University, going on to obtain her Master’s of Science in Applied Psychology from the University of Baltimore; all while remaining invested in her family and raising her children. In doing so, she became the first paternal family member to obtain a bachelor’s and master’s degree, but thankfully she has not been the last.

Prior to joining Leading By Example, LLC as the Clinical Development Director, Tish’s previous experience has included school based therapy, private practice, court-mandated substance abuse treatment services including IOP, abuser intervention services, intimate partner violence, and trauma. Tish has a passion for connecting with others and offering support to some of our area’s most vulnerable populations. Her ongoing professional goal is to always provide a safe space for clients to heal and recognize their worth no matter their situation.
