Mari Medeiros, LMSW was born in Brazil and moved to the United States during their early high school years. They are a graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, earning a Bachelor of Psychology and a Bachelor of Gender and Women’s Studies in 2016. Mari completed their Master’s of Social Work in 2023. They have are passionate about and has worked with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking. Additionally, Mari has a background in working with a wide range of behavioral health disorders. They have also worked to advocate for immigrants and queer folks.
Mari is committed to looking at the full picture of individuals, families, and couples. They work diligently to understand how client’s stories are impacted by their environment and experiences. Through focusing on a client’s unique experiences, Mari can examine existing strengths, existing relational patterns, barriers, and supports present in your life. They are passionate about supporting clients in co-creating a safe space to practice new skills and work toward fulfilling client’s goals. Mari is an avid reader, animal lover, and is learning to watercolor.
