Rosie Townsend received her Master of Social Work degree in 2022 from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She has experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which means she prioritizes the way that thoughts influence lived experiences. Most recently, Rosie interned at Kolmac Clinic doing intensive addictions counseling. Prior experiences also include intensive case management services in West Baltimore and drug policy research for the D.C. Department of Behavioral Health.
Through nonjudgmental curiosity, humor, and empathy, Rosie creates a space in which her clients can safely explore their own emotions and experiences to rewrite repetitive cycles that keep them stuck. When necessary, she takes a practical approach that infuses structure and effective coping strategies for managing anxiety, depression, relational problems, and addiction. Rosie takes a systems approach to her treatment and meets all clients where they are.
