Mr. Eric J. Banks, a scholar and native of Baltimore City, grew up in various neighbourhoods in West and South Baltimore. He credits his diverse friendships and incredible support system in shaping his belief in compassion and optimism. In 2010 he graduated Cum Laude from Coppin State University with a Bachelors in Sociology. He then went on to earn a Masters in Human Service Administration with concentrations in Family Counseling and Conflict Management through a collaborative from Coppin State University and University of Baltimore in 2013. Throughout his time in college, he also maintained memberships in various honor societies, advisory boards, and clubs.
Throughout his adult life, as a community servant he has proudly earned and worn many hats and titles within various organizations. As a sailor in the U.S. Navy, a Commanding Officer in the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets Corp, a Runaway and Homeless Youth Advocate, Case Manager, Street Outreach Lead, Mediator, and Cadre among other titles and positions. In this helping others get where they are meant to be, by meeting them where they are. He is a proud father of one son, and he looks forward to seeing the man he becomes.
