Mrs. Barbara Rene-Darbouze, LMSW, CCTP was born and raised in New York. She moved to Maryland in 2004 with her husband and children for an enriched employment opportunity as a Social Worker with the Department of Health & Human Services. She is a first-generation College Graduate. She attained her Bachelors Degree in Deviant Behavior and Social Control with a minor in Family psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York. She continued her education in the field of Social Work in Maryland and graduated from Morgan State University with a Masters Degree in Social Work and a member of the Phi Alpha Honor Society.
Mrs. Rene-Darbouze has dedicated her career to working in different capacities at The Department of Health & Human Services as a Family Service Foster Care Specialist Worker, Adult Protective Services Social Worker and working collaboratively with community partners to bridge the gaps of providing wrap-around services to the population of women, men, children, families and vulnerable adults. In addition, Mrs. Rene-Darbouze work in private practice includes her expertise of the treatment of Trauma; Environmental Trauma , Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Personality Disorders, Sexual/Physical Abuse, Domestic Violence, Grief/Loss, including Depression, Anxiety & Bipolar Disorders. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, (CCTP) through the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP), Mrs. Rene-Darbouze’s goal is that her clients who have experienced Trauma will learn to identify symptoms, triggers and manage the effects of their trauma appropriately.
Mrs. Rene-Darbouze’s proudest accomplishments is her 22 years of Marriage to her husband Mr. Darbouze and their children, ages 15 & 19. In addition, she is committed to provide a safe environment where all clients can express their struggles and effectively manage their mental health symptoms, thereby leading to a healthier, happier productive life.
