Shatara Gatling graduated with her Masters of Social Work from Springfield College in Springfield, MA in May 2011. She has been serving the community since 2007 working with high risk first time parents in an infant and toddler program; legal aid services at NHLA; community mental health services with young and older adults. She and her family moved to Maryland from Connecticut in 2013. Since then, she worked with children and families in the foster care system, and has been working with Leading By Example, LLC as a Clinical Supervisor in behavioral and psychiatric services. She is passionate and knowledgeable about developing and managing programs in order to be an active agent in the change process. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, shopping, eating, watching Netflix, practicing yoga, and traveling.
